Why go to a vet on the other side of Manhattan if your dog can enjoy a whole wellness experience at Biscuits & Bath? We know all of our dogs by name and temperament, giving us the familiarity needed to treat them properly. If something comes up during a walk, day care, or an overnight stay, we will know just what to do. When your dog is in for daycare, why not schedule a checkup? Experience the benefit of having complete care for your dog under one roof.

  • I love the Vets here. They are very caring and are really great about answering any questions or concerns. I have been taking my dog Bella here over the past few years. She has been for regular check ups and for some wounds she has received playing with other dogs. They are always very caring and take wonderful care of her. My dog doesn't usually like Vets but she loves the ones here. I'm so glad I switched to here!

    I love the Vets here!
  • I have a three year old French Bulldog that had been suffering from severe skin allergies almost his entire life. My current vet couldn't seem to get ahold of the issue, I figured it wouldn't hurt to get a second opinion. It was the best decision I could've made for my dogs current and long term health. The team at NYVP took a patient and cost effective approach to my dogs care. Dr. Mortsakis started with small simple solutions that slowly but surely made a huge difference in my dog's comfort. I was thrilled she didn't jump to expensive blood work and allergy testing. Now a year and a half later I could never imagine trusting another vet with my dogs. The team at NYVP has truly changed my dog's life and we are forever grateful!

Dr.M

Dr. Yasmine Mortsakis

Dr. Yasmine Mortsakis’ love for animals started here in NYC providing homes to cats, hermit crabs, & even snakes. Following high school graduation, she attended The Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland where she graduated with a degree in International Relations. Never forgetting her childhood passion for animals, she left her marketing position at Research International (NYC) to participate in the volunteer externship program at the Animal Medical Center in NYC. She then completed the post-baccalaureate pre-medical program at Columbia University in NYC in order to pursue her dream of becoming a veterinarian. She then attended North Carolina State University- College of Veterinary Medicine. Her studies found focus in small animal behavior, soft tissue surgery and equine medicine. With a great love for NYC she returned for additional externships at the Animal Medical Center in NYC and Red Bank Veterinary Hospital. Upon graduation from veterinary school, Dr. Mortsakis returned to NYC and practiced general medicine and surgery at animal hospitals in Yonkers and New York City.

Biscuits & Bath became a perfect home for Dr. Mortsakis as she continued her work in small animal medicine. She founded New York Veterinary Practice in April 2012. During her time away from the clinic she enjoys the city with her son and newborn daughter. Dr. Mortsakis runs a ‘tight-ship’ with dogs Doogle and Abby (big fans of B&B!), cats Neo, Spike, Simba, Elmo and Zoribel, and the beta fish, Nemo.
